Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor and morning reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's articles in Charleston, about how the Charleston police dealt with DUI cases with care, caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict direction for state officials. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. After her time at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. She then joined Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell's current role as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She's covered the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted the Pre ShowArrivals shows at The Emmys. In addition, she hosted The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
